The first “Future Facts For Girls Workshop” was held on Saturday, February 24th and was sponsored by the non-profit organization CHAMP, Inc. The speaker for this occasion was Mrs. Erma McCray, RN. The girls who attended engaged in learning activities about self-esteem, goal setting, hygiene, and bullying. ***Kudos to all who made these young girls their priority. Wesley Ray UMC:
*Youth Sunday Worship was held on Sunday, February 25th, with Rev. Gaynell Nichols (Ret.) presiding. The Youth participated in the Black History Program through scriptures, songs and readings. Mrs. Dorothy Moses and Mrs. Shirley Jackson were recognized as the Black History Honorees, during the service by Sis, Corrine Spiller.
The New Beginning Ministries:
*Bishop A.D. Spikes was the guest speaker for the Annual Men’s Day Program for the House of Prayer and Life Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Franklinton, on February 25th. The theme for this great occasion was: It’s Time for Everyone to Come. (Revelation 22:17)

*Students recently participated in the SELU District Literary Rally in Hammond. Those who advanced to the State Literary Rally are listed as follows: Lauryn Smith - Advanced Math; Tillias Hall - Ag Science I; Rayleigh Forbes - Ag Science II; Collin Lozier - Ag Science III; and Kinsley Sims - Civics. In addition, Rayleigh Forbes and Collin Lozier are both SELU Scholarship winners.
