It’s May already everyone! I’ve seen flowers blooming all around. Many of mine are bursting forth with blooms that brighten both my yard and my smile. It’s been said that: April showers bring May flowers so, enjoy the view everyone.

*Pastor Sidney Burns, Jr.’s message on Sunday, May1st was, “A Living Epistle” (II Corithians 3:1-3). He reminded those of us in attendance that believers of Jesus Christ should live according to God’s Holy Word.

Varnado High School VHS:
*The Athletic Banquet that took place on Thursday, April 28th @ 6pm was well presented.. The Jr. High/High School Athletes and Support Groups Participants were recognized for excelling in the endeavors. In addition, a 2004 VHS Alumni, Mr. Frank Harry Jr. was the guest speaker for the event. His message to the student athletes was centered around making good choices in life. Mr. Harry stressed that in order to be successful in real life, one has to have the ability to make wise choices and that the foundation for that process begins now.
