This week has been a whirlwind to say the least. My oldest brother Mike was diagnosed with Leukemia last week. We are still processing and trying to figure out what the next step. He is at Tulane and we feel this is the right place for him. He is in great spirits and looks really good! Please say a prayer for him, and that this will be a quick and easy detour on his journey through life.

Our students are learning so much at EES, from the early colonies, to early Mesopotamia, on to novels like “Hatchet” and “Out of the Dust”. I can’t tell you how proud we are of them.
The Enon Library loves having weekly visitors from EES. Don’t forget Scrabble at the Enon Library on Friday at 2pm.
OH! The Oak Grove Grocery Store has been having Scrabble as well! They have their Scrabble meets on the first and third Thursday of the month. You may want to check out their amazing lunches there as well. I hear they are scrumptious.
The week before Mardi Gras Break was Beta Convention for high school age students. Franklinton High School placed 3rd in Group Talent with Top Gun. It was a riveting performance and absolutely gave me chills. (I shared it on my Facebook Page if you would like to watch.) So, with placing 3rd, they will be headed to Nationals in Louisville, KY in June! Gracie and Annalise are both part of the backdrop crew, so that is very exciting for them! Also, my daughter Gracie placed 4th in History and will be going to Nationals as well. This is a wonderful group of students and very deserving. Their fabulous leader Elizabeth Walker has done a great job with them.
I hope you all have a great week! Until next time…..
