It has been wild around here with all of the fires, heat, and lack of rain. Please do not light any type of fire, not to burn trash, limbs, or even a fire pit. A little spot of rain will NOT help with the dryness of the ground, grass, trees, etc. I am praying for rain this week, because something has got to give. I am praying for our firefighters and first responders have to deal with all of this. While scrolling through Facebook the other day I watched a video of a wildfire in Evans, La. This person’s house trailer and truck was right in its path, you could hear the truck explode and the said that only the siding melted on the trailer, but I have no idea how it could have survived. Please be careful out there.
Our family is still getting used to being back in school. I am trying to get used to my new schedule, Annalise is going to school and working, Gracie is navigating college life and new friends, and James is working in new areas of his jobs. Patches is still Patches being spoiled, chasing squirrels, and whatever else she can get into. It is hard getting used to the new normal of Gracie being away at college, but I have all the confidence in the world that she and Annalise both are going to do great things in this world.
