I know we all wish Mother Nature would make up her mind about the weather. It has been humid, hot, cold, cool, and everything in between. This wetness in the air is just gross, because it makes everything slippery and nasty.
December 18th from 9 am to 11 am Enon Baptist Church will be hosting a community Christmas Breakfast for children ages 2 to 5th grade.
December 19th at 6 pm the children will be presenting the Christmas Story during the evening worship service in the sanctuary. The church will be starting new bible studies in January. If you would like to join, contact Brother Chris. The Youth had their Christmas Party Sunday night and had a wonderful time. Lots of games, food, gifts, and laughter made for a great night. The Youth will be attending Camp Fuego in Eunice, LA June 27th-July 1st. This is a great opportunity the kids, I know I sure miss church camp days and I am thankful I was able to go as a Youth and adult. In January we will be having our Youth Vegetable Fundraiser for youth camp and delivery will be February 26th.
Our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering goal for this year is $1,200. Samaritan’s Purse also sponsors a ministry called “The Greatest Journey”. Every child that receives a shoebox has the opportunity to go through a 12-week discipleship program. Afterwards they receive a diploma, and a New Testament Bible. The cost is $6 per child.

Enon Elementary School will have their Christmas Program, “Santa and his Helpers” on Wednesday, December 15 at 6 pm. Check your student’s calendar for how we are dressing up this week. Friday is a half-day and we will dismiss at 11:30 for the Christmas Holidays. I know the students are so ready for Christmas Break, but it is a toss as to if it is the kids or teachers who are more ready. HA!
The Enon Library has a ton of new books in stock. Make sure you stop by and visit the ladies and choose some good books to read while on break. I need to go see what all they have in my favorite genre. I hope you all have a great week and spend time with friends and family.
