It’s Fair Time! Fair week is my most favorite week of the year. This year I’m looking forward to bringing my four year old. Raylan is old enough now to really enjoy it. My oldest son, Tristan, was born during the Fair of 2006. My “Fair Baby” will be 15 on October 20th. He gets to celebrate his birthday all week! Also, it’s always great to see friends that I haven’t seen in a while, and going to Mile Branch.
The music at the Fair is another highlight, especially when it’s a Mt. Hermon musician who sings New Orleans Blues. Owen “Big Daddy O” will be performing Friday, October 22nd at 6:30 PM on the main stage with his band, “Uneven Ground”. Saturday October 23rd at 2:30 PM, he will be Down By the Branch performing with the trio.
Silver Creek Campground will have Halloween At the Creek, October 29th-31st. There will be lots of games and activities for the whole family.

Sunny Hill Baptist Church
Eighteen faithful members attended Sunday morning services at Sunny Hill, as Bro. William spoke from Luke 18. The power of prayer was the focus of the message. God wants believers to talk to Him in all situations. He has the answer to all our prayers. He blesses us daily and we should continuously thank Him in all things. This week thank God for everything and watch your blessing grow! God has you securely in His hand and sees you, knows your thoughts, and directs your every move.
They welcome each of you to their church, and hopes that God will lead you to their service at 10 AM on Sunday morning.

The Young At Heart group met up last Thursday at Sugar Shack. Eleven people enjoyed breakfast and fellowship with each other. Plans for their November gathering are already in the making.
Last Sunday we were blessed with the Jr. Hands of Praise, Sr. Hands of Praise, The Praise Team, Sis. Suzonne Garcia singing, Sis. Mandi Boyd singing and playing the keyboard, and Sis. Jessica Goings playing the drums. Pastor Randall Garcia delivered the message titled “Let”, from Galatians 6:9 (KJV). And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we will reap, if we paint.
