A Gumbo Cook-Off will be held next weekend, January 21st, at Silver Creek Campground, beginning at 1 PM. Cash prizes will be awarded!
Mt. Hermon School
Congratulations to Mt. Hermon School for an improvement in their School Performance Score to 75.3 B! MHS would like to thank the amazing students, dedicated teachers and staff, loyal parents, and members of the community who help make Mt. Hermon School such a success.
The Parish Jr. High Basketball Championship games will be Thursday, January 12th at Pine High School gym. Go Jackets!
MHS High School Basketball teams will play Maurepas on Tuesday, January 17th, starting at 6 PM, in the MHS gym. Come out and support our Jackets!
There will be no school next Monday, January 17th, for the observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Bogue Chitto Baptist Church
Lots of plans for the year, starting with regular services on Sundays at 9:30 AM for Sunday school and 10:30 AM worship service. Wednesday at 5:30 PM is Bible study. Mission Friends and Children in Action meet on Sundays and Wednesdays at 5:30 PM. Everyone is welcome!
Mt. Hermon Baptist Church
Regular Wednesday night activities will resume on January 18th, with supper being served at 5:30 PM, and Disciple Kids, 3SixTeens and Prayer meeting at 6 PM.
A Bible study, led by Bro. Ray, on the Tabernacle in the Old Testament, will begin January 22nd at 5 PM.
Mrs. Joni Sanders has graciously offered her home for a Ladies Movie Night on Friday, January 27th at 6 PM. Supper will be served.
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church
The time to register for the 2023 Women's Conference is now! March 9th-11th in Tioga, LA, with a cost of $49. Sis. Carla Burton will be ministering in the evening services, and many exciting things are planned.
Hope Alive, the faith based recovery for hurts, habits and hang-ups, will have the first meeting January 30th at 7 PM. The special speaker is Gene Amons. Gene is a disciple/ follower of Jesus Christ, who struggled with alcoholism and addiction. He is now involved in three sober living houses for men in Alexandria and has developed a recovery program called 5:12 RESTORE. All are welcome! For more info, contact Sis.
