Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well. My apologies for not submitting an article last week. Sunday afternoon, usually when I put the article together, I started having severe abdominal pain and went to the emergency room, was admitted and had my gallbladder removed the next day. Thankfully, all is good now!
A Blood Drive is being hosted by the WPFD #9 for Mr. Mike Sharp this Saturday, April 1st from 9 AM-2 PM at the Dist. 9 Fire Department (located behind Brooks General Store). Mr. Mike is the Fire Chief of the WPFD #8 (Enon) and has recently been diagnosed with leukemia. He requires many blood transfusions, as well as platelets. Due to blood shortages, all blood types are in high demand. For each replacement blood donation made in his name, The Blood Center will issue a monetary payment to help with out of pocket medical expenses not covered by insurance. If you know Mr. Mike and his wife, Mrs. Natalie, then you know they are both always helping others in need. Now is our time to help them!
