Mt. Hermon School
Congratulations to the MHS Teacher of the Week, Mrs. Donna Dupuy! She teaches first grade at MHS, and is a valuable asset to her students and coworkers.
This Thursday and Friday (Dec. 9-10) will be Virtual Learning Days, in order for teachers to attend Professional Development. All MHS students will complete assignments on their chrome books at home. Paper assignments will be sent home for those who don’t have internet access. Teachers will be available for student feedback on Friday from 1-2:45 PM.
Mt. Hermon Jr. High Basketball teams will play Pine Jr. High, Monday, Dec. 13th at 5:00 PM, in the MHS gym. Thursday, Dec. 16th, the Jr. High teams will travel to Varnado.
Bogue Chitto Baptist Church
The WMU will meet Tuesday, December 14th at 10 AM. Bring a salad for lunch. All ladies are encouraged to attend.
On Sunday, December 19th, during the morning service, they will have a special music service, followed by the Lord’s Supper. Soup and sandwiches will be served for lunch, along with Christmas fellowship afterwards. No service that evening.
Mt. Hermon Baptist Church
The Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Choir, led by Ruth Lewis, did a wonderful presentation of “The Messiah” at this year’s Christmas Cantata. Following the Cantata, everyone gathered in the fellowship hall for a time of eating delicious food, and fellowship with each other.
The MHBC youth group, ThreeSixTeens, had a great time going to the movie theatre in Hammond, for their Christmas outing. They watched “Christmas with The Chosen: The Messengers 2021.
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church
The Young At Heart group will meet this Saturday, Dec. 11th, 12 o clock noon, at the home of Earl and Rachel Gill.
Sunday, Dec. 19th at 6:00 PM, we will have our Hee Haw Christmas Play. Lots of laughs, and food and fellowship afterwards.
Wednesday, Dec. 22nd is our Candlelight Service. Everyone is welcome to attend.
