Greetings to all my readers!
Saturday, May 7th was a busy, but a fun day. First of all, I picked up flowers at Bennie's for the church and I attended the Washington St. Tammany Electric annual meeting that was held at Franklinton High School. Numerous door prizes were drawn. Believe it or not I won a nice door prize. My sister Lorell and Evelyn also won a door prize. My sister Jackie picked Lorell and me up and we went to a graduation party honoring her granddaughter, Mary Seal. There we had boiled crawfish, potatoes, sausage, and a slice of Mary Cake made by Jackie. About two o'clock we were on our way to Mandeville for Wesley Watson's graduation party that was held at the park in Mandeville. Before returning home, we stopped at Walmart and Home Depot. Our chauffuer for the day was our younger sister Jackie and we were very grateful for a safe outing.
The weekend of May 7th and 8th was a special time for the Burch family. They celebrated Mother's Day and a birthday. Saturday, they enjoyed a meal at Golden Coral in Hammond. Lastly on Sunday they had lunch at Bourne Restaurant. Evelyn and Shelby Jr. were treated by their children on both occasions.
Sunday was Shelby Jr's birthday. Chris, Charlie, Jose' and the girls gathered at the home of Evelyn Burch for cake and ice cream.

Thanks to the ladies who assisted me in preparing the desserts for the Senior Adult Revival hosted by Bogue Chitto Baptist Church and the lunch was great.
Teacher's appreciation week at MHS was a delightful time. Everyday goodies were brought to the lounge. We all say thank you to those who provided the delicious goodies. We had taco salad, brownies, meat balls, cocktail sausage to name a few. Yum! Yum!
I'll sign off for now. I look forward to resetting with you next week, same time same station.
Keep on Smiling- Love ya! Nell
