Most of us have been enjoying all those wonderful fresh veggies we've been looking forward to having. Oh my! Those juicy tomatoes, sweet corn, not mention tender squash and cucumber to name a few. By the way, it is time for blueberries and pea shelling.

My granddaughter Breanna called me to tell me that Dairy Day was on Saturday, June 4th at the water park in Tylertown, Ms. Jackie and I went and enjoyed walking around, looking at the wares on sale in the booths, and visiting with everyone. They had different contest and singing on the stage. We heard the children making cow mooing sounds. They were cute trying to sound like a cow. We saw lots of old tractors and cars. Washington Parish had a Dairy Day also, at the LSU RExperimental Station.
My friend Richard Schilling was telling me how much he enjoyed going to the Senior Adult luncheon at Mt. Hermon church on Thursday, June 16th. They enjoyed a great meal and playing games.
Sympathy is sent out to the family of Mamie Burch, age 83, who passed away on May 29th. Visitation and funeral was held at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church on June 1st and the burial was in the church cemetery. The ladies prepared lunch for the family held in the church fellowship hall. Please pray for our community and surrounding area for the sick, shut-in and those families who have lost a beloved one.
Thought for the week!
God is good! His spirit moves through the positive thinking mind and, instead of discouragement there's a spirit of Hope-of Peace-of new challenges.
Signing off for now stay tuned, same time, and same station. Take good care of yourself. Be blessed- Nell
Have a safe Fourth of July!
