Greetings to all! Hopefully you are having a wonderful Wednesday. Thank the Lord we're still kicking, maybe not too high. Ha! Ha! The older we get the lower we kick.
Mother's Day is Sunday, May 14th. Whatever you do, make her day a special one. It doesn't have to be elaborate. Sometimes the simple things mean the most, such as a hug, a kiss and those three little words "I love you". Make sure you let her know she is special, because your mom won't be around always. Take time while they are still around.
A birthday celebration was held at the home of Mrs. Mary Tate for her and her son, Calvin. Family members gathered for a day of fellowship and good eating.
We had some good eating recently when Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal church had their chicken dinners. Bryan and I enjoyed them very much. I also picked and delivered one up for my sister Jackie and my friend Marguerite Lipani.
Thanks to the ladies for helping me with the desserts for the Senior Adult Revival held at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 19th. Thanks to Frances for filling in for me.

Mother Spotlight
Evelyn Burch is a mother of two daughters, Barbara and Brenda, whom she loves very much. She is happy to have several extended family members who love her. Her favorite songs are Victory In Jesus, and Rest High on the Mountain by Vince Gill. John 3:16 is her favorite Bible scripture. As a girl growing up she remembers when her mother, Nellie James, would warm a blanket when tucking them in bed on a cold night. She always made sure her family was taken care of. Sunday dinners were special to family members, enjoying chicken dumplings and homemade buttermilk pound cake. She talked about her mom and how she misses her very much.
Pray for all the needs in our community and surrounding areas.
Congratulations to the graduating seniors. M.H.S graduation is Saturday, May 13th at 10 am held in the school gym.
Have a blessed week and take care of yourself. Prayerfully Nell.
