To all mothers, hopefully you had a blessed Mother's Day and were remembered by your children.
I was invited to the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church for the Women's Ministry Luncheon. "When you get lemons, make lemonade" was the theme for the Saturday morning gathering. On the menu was lemon chicken pasta, green beans, lemon dessert and to drink was lemonade/tea. The devotion was on the subject, in our lifetime we have many difficult times, and when that happens, just let God add the sweetener. We had a delightful time. Thank you, Terry, for inviting me.
Mother Spotlight
I think of my mom every day of my life, even though she is resting in the Savior's arms. Death is one sure thing we all will face when it comes our turn. Growing up, I never did understand some of the thing's mom would say to me, "This hurts me worse than you." I'm thinking, how can that be. That switch would sting; the more I jumped the worst it got. When I become an adult and ha d kids of my own, I began to understand d what she meant. We had to be corrected from time to time, whatever I took. I'm so thankful for all her teachings and sweet memories that are instilled in me today. My mom Mary Lee Ingram was called to her heavenly home at 90 years age. She was a mother of seven, a hard worker and always did her very best to take care of family. Her kind, gently hands would take away the hurt of a skinned knee/kiss away the hurt. Once again, I love you and miss you! Keep watch over me.
