Greetings once again!
Folks, can you believe we are in the last week of September. Time is moving right along. The days are getting shorter. Just think the fair is only two weeks away!
Our September WMU meeting was held in the church fellowship hall. First in the agenda was remembering the sick and praying for needs. Missionaries with birthdays that day were named. Francis voiced prayer for the missionaries and those in the prayer list. Those awaiting to roll call were Francis Schilling, Florine Sorrel, Valarie Goings, and I. After the blessing, everyone enjoyed refreshments and chit-chat.
Celebrating wedding anniversaries in September include Tyler and Brianna Graham, J.R. and Cynthia Bankston, and finally Jeremy Andrew and Jamie Lea Painter. Hope your day was a special one!
I surprised Ms. Elaine Buras with a phone call on her recent birthday. She had received several birthday wishes from family and friends along with a beautiful arrangement of fresh flowers.

Karen Peck and New River sang at a church near Sandy Hook, Ms. Chris invited me to go with him, Barbara, Brenda and Evelyn Burch. We enjoyed hearing them sing. They did amazing; it was such a blessing.
We had boxes and bags filled with an assortment of food plus other items that was collected for the LA Baptist Childrens Home in Monroe. I carried it to Clifton Church for Monday pick up. Thank you to our church family for their generous donations.
Heartfelt sympathy to the families of Mary Lou Spears Bufkin, to the family of Alton Troy Wilson and Nina Williams Warren. You are in our prayers.
