Happy New Year to all of you!
Hopefully, you had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. Now that the holidays are over it's time to get back to our routine; work, school or whatever your daily chores are.
We have not yet reached our goal of $400 for the LMCO. It's not too late for you to contribute to the offering. Prayerfully consider giving to a much-needed cause.
A Christmas gathering at Bo's Restaurant was hosted by Calvin Tate. At everyone's place setting was a pretty Christmas card and a gift. His workers, family members and I enjoyed a good meal and the fellowship together. Approximately 25 were in attendance.
Richard Schilling invited me to the Christmas dinner on Saturday night, December 18th, at Riverview apartments. We had baked turkey with several side dishes and desserts. It was nice visiting with Richard and some of the residents.
Happy January birthday to these special ones, my son William Allen (Bill) Alford, my sister Lorell Morris, David Harold Watson, my cousin Herman Ingram, Charlie Burch, Sue Alford, Cynthia Bankston, Bobby Goings, Brodie Haley, Suzette Watson Carter, Cindy McBeth, BlaikLynn Emerson Moore, Lisa Miller, Linda Guy, Stone Guy, Larry Guy, Albert Lebo, Chase Miller, Bro. Jimmy Oalmann, Jeremiah Oalmann, Bro. Darrell Miller, Bro. Gerald Wright, Levi Anthony D'Andrew Rester, Susan McNeese, Jerri McNeese, Kaitlin Morris, and Kaiden Moore.
Monday night, December 13th, I was invited to go to Juiet and Melinda Schilling's for a Christmas party. We all enjoyed a variety of delicious finger foods, sides, and homemade pecan pie. We had lots of fun playing Sneaky Santa and lots of chit chat. Enjoying time together were Richard Schilling, Frances Schilling. Linda Jean Folks, their daughter Katherine, her husband, and me. Everything was decorated so pretty and by the way, she made the most delicious pecan pie. Yum! Yum!
Please pray for the sick and the families who have lost beloved ones.
