Greetings, it's been another beautiful week in the neighborhood.
It's the time of year for nice pleasant weather, cold mornings and sunny evenings. Cold Snaps!
This week I'm greeting you in the Spirit of Perseverance. Perseverance is to continue striving to reach a goal no matter how hard or how long it takes.
Scripture for Thought:
And let us not get tired of doing what is right, for after a while we will reap a harvest of blessings if we don't get discouraged and give up.
Galatians 6:9 (TLB)

November's Celebrations:
May God continue to Bless everyone who's celebrating an occasion this month. Whatever your occasion is may it be filled with love, happiness and joy. Live Love and Laugh often. Be Blessed.
Daylight Saving Time! Time Has Changed Again.
An EXTRA Hour Of Sleep!!! Hooray!!!
In the cooler months clocks are set back (one full hour) and we get an extra hour. It's called Fall Back making daylight days shorter. In the warmer months clocks are set up (one full hour) called Spring Forward making daylight days longer. Which do you prefer: Springing forward or Falling backward?
Springing Forward will always win my vote.

Update on October's Clergy Month Appreciation
The Pastor's Appreciation Program given for Reverend James Dunn, Pastor of Good Hope Baptist Church was very touching. Pastor Dunn and his beautiful wife (Darylin) were given some special gifts and shown some appreciative love. Along with some nice spoken comments Pastor Dunn was given a special treat with everyone's approval. The treat was having Sunday off and it wasn't a trick. He still shared some Spirituals words before dismissing the congregation.
‘We Live in Vernon Community Too’ This Week's Community Spotlight Residents are Daron Brumfield and his lovely wife Sonja Brumfield. Daron is always encouraging people in all neighborhoods and communities. Daron has been the Pastor of Mt. Teamer Baptist Church (Indepence, La.) for 9 years. Sonja has the most beautiful smile and loves making a difference in the lives of others. Sonja is a 1986 Mt. Hermon graduate. Sonja was reared up in Vernon Community. To know them is to love them. Thumbs up to some of Vernon Proudest.
