The story of Samuel "Sam" Harrell Smith, Jr.'s (1911-1993) contribution to the local dairy industry is best relayed in his own words. With paper and pencil, Mr. Sam recorded his own history, and as a by-product that of our area, in "Sam's Story" which he wrote in the late 1970's or early 1980's.
