This has been a wonderful week of celebrating mama’s birthday and our family. We have had a great time reminiscing and enjoying time together. This past weekend we went to my cousin’s restaurant Charles Seafood in Harahan, La. We were able to celebrate mama’s birthday, celebrating the wellness (and survival) of a few family members, and seeing family we haven’t seen in over a year. It doesn’t matter about the age gap, I love visiting all of my family, but my mama’s side reminds me of Paw Paw and Maw Maw and all of the reunions and memories made with them as a kid.
Enon Baptist Church is still collecting items for Operation Christmas Child, crayons, toys, scissors, erasers, coloring books, pencils, pencil sharpeners, pens, loose leaf paper or notebooks, and $15 for postage. On September 27th EBC will be having a Yard Sale from 7 am to 11 am and Fall Festival/Chili Cook off from 4 pm to 7 pm. Blessing of Food will be September 11th and 12th. There will be a church wide Fish Fry on September 20th at 6:30 pm. On September 14th we will have Legos and Lunch from 12 pm to 2 pm at the church.

The next Washington Parish School Board Meeting will be at Enon Elementary School on Thursday, September 11th at 6 pm. The Enon Library has story time each Thursday at 3:15 pm.
