What a frigid week it has been! It has been a long time since I have felt wind this cold, or the fact that it felt like it was actually freezing. Sometimes I think how I would love to live where it snows and learn how to ski. You can ask my sweet mama how well I do with being snowed/iced in; I believe she said I looked like a “caged tiger” pacing. I really don’t think I am built for cold weather.
Enon Baptist Church has a Men’s Bible Study that resumes January 15th and the Ladies’ Bible Study begins the 15th as well. Blessing of Food is January 16th and 17th.
January 18th from 11 am to 1 pm, there will be a Kickoff to a Soup-er New Year at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church for the Women’s Missions and Ministry.
There will be a Gift Card Wedding Shower honoring Kacie Reid, bride-to-be of Mason Inabnitt, on January 25th from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the Varnado Store Museum Annex. There will be a Parents Night Out coming in February, more details to come! January 19th there will be a “Gumbo to Go” Fundraiser for the Youth. They will have 32 oz containers for $20. We will have Veggie Sales coming soon. I will let you know when I have the paperwork, the Veggie Sale is the biggest fundraiser for Camp Fuego. Our kids learn so much while at camp and I can’t recommend sending your kiddos enough. It is worth it!

There will be a mandatory Parent Meeting for 6th graders who are wanting to try out for Cheer, Dance, Pep, and Flag at FJHS on January 16th at 5:30 pm.
Enon Elementary School had a wonderful Winter Wonderland Ball this past weekend. The Dads and Daughters had a grand time, and they looked FANTASTIC!
Don’t forget to stop by the Enon Library on Thursdays right after school. They are having popcorn, Pete the Cat, and Pink Panther.
February 18th there will be a Teen Popcorn and Paint Party from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
Report Cards went out on January 13th. Remember there will be no school January 20th for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. January 17th will be $1 Denim Day (denim bottom and school affiliated top), and January 24th will be a $1 Denim Day.
