Watermelon is one of my favorite fruits and I was excited about the Watermelon Festival this past weekend. I only got to go for a few minutes, but I did get my fruit nachos from the Pine Malt Stand, along with a watermelon. I hate I missed out on the car show, but I know my brother Mike was there with Paw Paw’s truck. I hope you all who were able to attend had a grand time!
July 19th the Youth of Enon Baptist Church will be leading worship in the morning service. They will be speaking about their experiences at Camp Fuego, lead music, etc. We are looking forward to hearing all about their time at camp. July 18th will be the Car Wash/Bake Sale from 9 am to 4 pm at the Hwy 16 Enon Fire Dept for the Children in Action of EBC. If you would like to donate any home-baked goods, please contact Mrs. Alice Pigott.
Gracie and her group have been doing well. She has about 25 days left before she heads home. They are seeing some progress, but it is definitely not like being at home. “S”, a gentleman who has been faithful at showing up to The Bridge each week for bible study and questions has begun to tell their group that he believes in God and needed the pieces of the puzzle “put together” for him. We are so excited to hear this and are happy for him. The other day the group was passing out tracts and trying to speak with people and it just “wasn’t going well”, then Gracie heard someone playing a saxophone and realized he was playing Way Maker! Even when it doesn’t feel like success, God is there to show that in His time it will be. Thank you for all of your prayers during this time. She was able to go see Hamiliton on her day off and that was a major highlight for the day.
Happy birthday to Trevor Daniels, Patsy Green, Kadyn Kittelson, Izabella Pecot Stephens, Sonya Watson, McKinley Rice, Jean Mistretta, Karen Mizell, Dylan Magee, and Drew Varnado.
