My girl is home from London! We went and picked Gracie up from the New Orleans Airport on Friday, had a welcome home party on Saturday, and she spoke at church for Sunday morning worship.
She is exhausted, but is grateful not to have to walk everywhere, for AC, and elevators.
If you would like to hear what she spoke about, you can go to Enon Baptist Church’s Facebook Page and watch it. We are so proud of her and how much she learned and grew. I told her at some point she will have to be our tour guide when I get brave enough to go.
Enon Baptist Church will be having 5th Sunday Sing during the morning worship service on August 30th. Dinner on the grounds will follow. Please let Brother Joel or Brother Chris know if you would like to sing. We had blessing of the backpacks for all students, teachers, paras, bus drivers, etc who will be working in the school system and those working with children. (such as daycare)
August 12th will be our Back to School Bash for the kids.
Happy birthday to Jeff Mizell, Doyle Ladner, Derek Varnado, Tess Ginn, Randall Ginn, Melanie King, our wonderful Gifted Teacher Lucy Parker, our fantastic custodian Mr. Homer, Mark Lambremont, and Jonna Ard.
Condolences to the families of Lillian Kurtz, Doris Guy, and Sean Thomas.
Enon Elementary School had a phenomenal first day of school this past week. We were so excited to see all of our Eagles and are happy to all be together again. Please make sure to read all of the new and old information on our website or Facebook Page. August 14th is $1 Denim Day and so is August 28th. Please remember that $1 Denim Days are for blue jean denim bottoms and a school-based spirit shirt (present or past years).
August 9th was National Book Lovers Day. The Enon Library will have Cartoon Afternoon on Tuesdays and don’t forget story time on Thursdays.
I hope you have a wonderful and safe week. Thank you for keeping up with Gracie throughout her travels. We love and appreciate all of you. Please be mindful of the kiddos going to and from school in the mornings and evenings. Until next time……….
