Coach Jonathon Barber was fired up about the win. "Great win for our program, I'm proud of our guys. This was a win that our entire community needed. It was truly amazing to see our student body so excited. Our students have been through a lot recently and being part of bringing that joy to them was really special. As far as our team, it's a win that we had to have. We have had two tough losses to start the season and we are in the middle of three straight games versus 5A schools. We talked all week about sticking together and doing whatever it takes to get the win. Our guys dominated the game from the start. They made a couple adjustments at halftime so we gave up a score to start the third, but our offense immediately came back and restored order. It is very gratifying when we can dominate all three phases of the game like we did last night. We have another huge test next week and we will be ready."
Zion Anders completed 7 passes of 13 attempts for 231 yards and a touchdown while rushing just three times for 17 yards and a touchdown. Keyon Nelson rushed six times for 14 yards and a touchdown. Glen Marks was the leading receiver with 157 yards and a touchdown on 4 receptions. Daniel Bryant had 2 for 58 yards. Kelly Daniels had one rush for five yards.
