Hello friends! I hope you had a great weekend. My family and I attempted to go to the Slidell St. Patrick’s Day Parade, but due to rain we decided to skip out and just spend the day together. We are hoping to make one of the other Irish or St. Patrick’s Day Parades or activities coming up.

January greeting to you! Hopefully the New Year is treating you good. For me, I'm hanging in there taking one day at a time. So far this year we have had a mixture of cold/warm/wind and lots of fog at night and morning. By the way the changing temperature is what keeps us sick. Remember we live in Louisiana.

Students were winners in heart smart poster contest

The Heart Smart Children's Health Program recently held their annual poster contest in honor of February Heart Health Awareness Month. The contest was for 4th and 5th grade students at the participating schools. There was a total of 14 entries overall. Winners were judged on theme, content and execution. The top 3 winners were:
