On Wednesday of this week, Justice William H. Burris took the oath of office as Associate Justice of the First Supreme Court District, Louisiana Supreme Court.
The First Judicial District includes portions of Orleans, Livingston, St. Tammany, St. Bernard, Washington, and Tangipahoa Parishes.
