NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Two artists who started their careers outside of country music were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame as early rock pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis and bluegrass performer-turned-country star Keith Whitley joined the ranks.

Game of the Week - Pine 6-0, 1-0 at Amite 3-2, 1-0. The Raiders are rolling right now as they have their best start in school history. They are racking up the points and being very stingy on defense. Their schedule hasn't been the toughest but they've defeated every team put in front of them.

Boil water advisories addressed at Franklinton Council meeting

The Town of Franklinton Board of Aldermen held its December meeting on Tuesday, December 13. New business began with the introduction of an ordinance to authorize the Town to charge a $25 fee to each water customer and $25 to each gas customer for connecting or transferring services.
