The extended Partman family is shown at the newly dedicated bridge, along with Parish President Ryan Seal, Sheriff Jason Smith, Council members Kim Wagner and Steven Branch, Public Works Director Alex Sumrall, and other parish officials and citizens. The blue sign officially states the new name of the bridge: The Deacon Hayward Partman Memorial Bridge.
Last Thursday morning the Harvey Road Bridge over Hays Creek was officially dedicated in honor of the late Deacon Hayward Partman.
Washington Parish President Ryan Seal told those gathered for the dedication that Partman was known as a husband, a father, and a faithful servant of his church.
