Leaders in Washington Parish are working hard on economic development and promoting tourism in this scenic and rural parish.
So it was depressing to those leaders and many citizens last week when a New Orleans newspaper portrayed the parish as a hotbed of violent crime.

I write in response to the recent letter and commentary regarding solar farm concerns in Washington Parish. Opinions on solar farm development should be made upon consideration of all the facts, many of which the letter and commentary left out.
