Fire forces Franklinton residents to evacuate senior apartment complex

A fire in one unit at Riverview Senior Apartments in Franklinton Sunday night forced the evacuation of the entire building.
Residents were evacuated via Council on Aging buses and were taken to Franklinton High School and Hillcrest Baptist Church.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sudan’s warring factions have agreed to a new short-term ceasefire, U.S. and Saudi mediators announced on Saturday, after several previous attempts to broker a truce that holds have failed.
