Here's a quick rundown of upcoming community events and important notices:
**Fair Week Updates:**
Enjoy the beautiful Fair Week weather! Mt. Hermon Hardware will be closed this Wednesday, then open from 8 AM to 12 PM Thursday through Saturday. Brook's General Store will operate with earlier closures, shutting its doors at 4 PM from Wednesday to Saturday. Don't forget to visit Brook's Chickens Booth at the fairgrounds, open daily from 10 AM until stage events conclude, Tuesday through Saturday.
**Mt. Hermon School
- Red Ribbon Week & Fall Festival:**
Mark your calendars for Red Ribbon Week at Mt. Hermon School, taking place October 20th-24th! Students are invited to participate in daily themed dress-up days (please wear khakis with all outfits): "Seeing Red" (Monday), "Team Up Against Drugs" (Tuesday - sports jersey), "Peace Out Drugs" (Wednesday - 70s attire), "You Must Be Crazy to do Drugs" (Thursday - crazy clothes/hair), and "Scare Away Drugs" (Friday - school appropriate Halloween costume).
The MHS Fall Festival will also be held on Friday, October 24th, from 6-8 PM. All are welcome!
**Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Events:**
Join Bogue Chitto Baptist for Sunday evening fellowship: basketball and playground fun starts at 4:30 PM, followed by prayer and "The Chosen, Season 4" at 5 PM (please bring a snack to share). Their annual Fall Festival is scheduled for Saturday, November 1st, from 2-5 PM.
A Fall Revival kicks off on Sunday, November 2nd, with services at 10:30 AM and 6 PM, continuing Monday through Wednesday at 6 PM. Rev. Jeremy Ingram will be the guest speaker, with special music by Crowe Family Ministries.
The Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church family is excited for the upcoming arrival of Waylon, baby boy to Brian and Adrian O’Bryant! A gift table for wipes and diapers (any size welcome) will be available in the church foyer this Sunday.
The arrival of Bro. Terry Terrell is less than 3 weeks away! Saturday, November 1st at 6 PM, he will be with us singing Southern Gospel.
Local Talent
Be sure to check out the local Mount Hermon talent that will be at the fair! On the Main Stage: The Dean King Band, Wednesday at 4:30 PM; MHS Talented Vocals, Thursday at 9:00 AM; MHS Cheer and Dance, Friday at 10:00 AM.
Down By The Branch you will find Big Daddy O, Saturday at 11:30 AM, and The Dean King Band , Saturday at 6:30 PM.
