Hello, Mt. Hermon! With this cold weather, a hot bowl of homemade chili is just what we need. The Mt. Hermon Ruritan Club will be hosting their annual Chili Cook-off Fundraiser next Saturday, February 7th, from 11 AM-1PM. For only $5 per person, you can sample the best homemade chili in town, and cast your vote for the club member with the best. It will be a great time of community fellowship!
The Ruritan Club would like to give a huge shout out to Kat-Vet for coming to our community to provide free micro chips and vaccines. 79 dogs and 30 cats were serviced! The Ruritan Club was honored to host this event for the community.
The youth group of Bogue Chitto Baptist Church is selling pastalaya dinners to help cover the costs of Mission Fuge summer church camp. The pick-up day is next Saturday, Feb. 7th, from 11 AM-1 PM at the church. Dinners are $12 and include white beans, side salad, slice of bread, and a slice of cake. It’s homecoming week in the Herm! Come out and support the Yellowjackets this Friday night. The Homecoming Court will be presented, and it’s also Senior Night! MHS vs. Holden!
The Homecoming Dance is Saturday night for 6th-12th graders, from 6-9 PM.

Congratulations to Emma Kieffer, MHS 2025 graduate who was the recipient of the Lance Corporal Larry Wells Memorial Scholarship, recently completed her 1st semester at the University of New Orleans with a 4.0. She was proudly presented a check of $500 by Mrs. Joni Sanders. Emma is pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering.
