There is now a Blessing Box at the Mt. Hermon Fire Department, located directly behind Brooks General Store. Thanks to Jon Pinell of the fire dept. for making this happen. Please feel free to add or take from the Blessing Box as needed.
The Mt. Hermon Cemetery Board will hold its annual meeting this Sunday, April 26th at 2 PM. The meeting will be held at the Ruritan Club.
Mt. Hermon School
The Washington Parish School Board meeting was held last Thursday at Franklinton Elementary School. Superintendent, Jennifer Thomas, recognized the students of the year from each junior high and high school in the parish.
The Mt. Hermon High School Student of the Year recipient was awarded to Syria Crain, and the Junior High Student of the Year recipient was London Strange. Also, members of the Superintendent’s Advisory Council were recognized. Representing MHS were Syria Crain and Isabella Cooper. Congratulations to you all!
The last Progress reports for this school year will be sent home Thursday, April 23rd.
Next Saturday, May 2nd, the MHS Golden Graduate Reunion will be taking place in the school cafeteria.
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church
The Young at Hearts will meet at the church Thursday, April 30th. They will have a plant exchange. Bring a small plant of any kind, and take a plant home with you. It will be a wonderful time of fun, food, and fellowship.
If you ordered chicken dinners, don’t forget that the pick-up day is this Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM from the church, or if you made arrangements to pick-up in Franklinton.
