I want to wish a special Happy Birthday to Mrs. Cherry Estes! She turned 100 on July 4th! Mrs. Cherry celebrated her 100th birthday at Fair City Nursing Home surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed the fellowship, and certainly her birthday cake, because she loves her sweets. She had a great day!

A medical benefit for “Big Daddy O” (Mr. Owen Tufts) will be held Saturday, July 25th 1-5 PM at The Reimers Auditorium 305 E. Charles St. Hammond, La. Come out and help our local musician friend for an afternoon of live music and fun, to help ease the burden of medical expenses.
The Dean King Band will be performing this Saturday, 10 AM-12 PM, at the Washington Parish Watermelon Festival, in the rodeo arena.
All are welcome to attend the Step Lively! Sobriety Walk next Saturday, July 18th. It begins at 10 AM at the Washington Parish Courthouse in Franklinton, then the walk is to the Franklinton Library. Our very own Mandi Boyd from Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church will be one of the guest speakers. Hot dogs and drinks will be served. This event is organized to celebrate recovery, foster community support, and raise awareness for addiction recovery. “Recover loudly so others don’t die quietly!”
