Brook’s General Store is celebrating 25 years of serving this wonderful community! This Saturday, July 18th, is the Step Lively! Sobriety Walk. All are welcome to attend. It begins at 10 AM, at the Washington Parish Courthouse in Franklinton, then all walk to the Franklinton Library. If you are unable to walk, you may meet at the library. Mandi Boyd, from Mt. Hermon UPC and Hope Alive, will be a guest speaker. Hot dogs and drinks will be served. This event is organized to celebrate recovery, foster community support, and raise awareness for addiction recovery.
The Mt. Hermon Ruritan Club is sponsoring a Louisiana Hunter Safety Course, and it is free! Youth and adults are welcome. Must be at least 10 years old to attend. The dates are Friday, July 31st, 5-9 PM and Saturday, August 1st, 8 AM-2 PM. You must attend both days. Seating is limited, so register now at LDWF. Classes will be held at the Mt. Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church is excited about a new class that started last Sunday, for ages 3-11, and is being taught by a member of our youth group, Lyric. The class begins at 9:20 AM, until time for the morning service at 10 AM. They will learn action songs, memory verses, sign language, and reviewing what they learned on Wednesday nights. For the parents, it’s a time of prayer and fellowship.
