Happy Fall Y’all! As of September 22nd, fall has officially arrived, and The Fair is less than a month away. Many folks are already preparing to ensure that it will be a fabulous week. Ms. Beverly Taylor is looking for new volunteers to sit in the Mt. Hermon School (Mile Branch Settlement) during the Fair. If anyone would like to help by taking a two hour shift, please contact Ms. Beverly at 985-515-7604.

Silver Creek Campground will have Bingo this week, but it is being moved to Friday night, 6:30-8:30 PM, due to the school board meeting being on Thursday night.

Congratulations to Weston Fortenberry, an MHS Senior, for being a Top 10 Finisher at the Zydeco Scramble XC Meet at Bogue Chitto State Park!
A Canned Food Drive is being organized by the MHS Good Samaritan Club. Donations may include tuna, canned fruits and vegetables, oatmeal, cereal, etc. The class that collects the most canned goods by October 16th will win a popsicle party from the Good Samaritans! All donations will go to the Washington Parish Food Bank.
There will be a special school board meeting this Thursday, September 24th, 6:00 PM, at the school board office in Franklinton.
Bogue Chitto Baptist Church
Thrive Sunday Nights is a brand new youth and children (K-12th) discipleship program. Sunday evenings at 5 is dinner, 5:30 is worship, and Bible Study is from 6-6:30. Adults are welcome to stay with their children and learn alongside them, or you may drop off and pick up. They will have a sign in/sign out sheet.
Please be in prayer for this new adventure that God will grow families in Spirit and Truth so that we may thrive as followers of Jesus and lights in our communities.
Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church
The Young at Heart group will meet this Friday, Sept. 25th at 11:00, in the church fellowship hall. If you are fifty years old or older, come enjoy a wonderful time of fellowship, inspiration, and good food. Everyone is welcome!
