Happy Wednesday! It’s the last day of September, and the temps are beginning to feel like “fair weather”. Also, time to visit some pumpkin patches! There is a new pumpkin patch, not far from Mt. Hermon, that will have their grand opening this Saturday, October 3rd, from 10 AM-7 PM. Maewoods is located at 296 Carto Road in Tylertown, Ms. It’s only $5 a person, and kids 3 and under are free. They will have vendors, games, a messy corn maze, and each child will receive a free mini pumpkin. They plan to be open every Saturday in October. Follow Maewoods on Facebook for updates. Sugar Shack on the River is hosting their 1st Pumpkin Decorating Contest! You may drop off your decorated pumpkin on the deck, anytime by October 25th. Pumpkins can not be punctured or carved. Please put your name and phone number on the bottom of the pumpkin, where it is not visible to anyone. Be creative and good luck!
Bingo at Silver Creek Campground will return to Thursday nights, 6:30-8:30.

The MHS Student Council participated in the annual Washington Parish Free Fair flag-raising ceremony at the courthouse, this past Friday. It’s officially “Fair Season”, and MHS students are ready to represent Mt. Hermon at the fair!
