Raylan Sanders celebrated his 8th birthday this past Sunday, March 9th at his home with a “Minecraft” themed birthday party. Joining him to celebrate were his parents, Aaron and Holly Sanders; grandparents, Earl and Rachel Gill and Donna Sanders, and his big brother, Tristan Freeman. Also, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his best friend, Savion. Raylan had an amazing day!
Happy Anniversary to Nicholas and Sharlene Coleman, who celebrated 7 years of marriage on March 3rd, and Austin and Chelsey Schilling, who also celebrated 7 years on March 10th.
Baseball season is in full swing at MHS! The varsity baseball team will play against Independence at home on Tuesday, March 18th at 5:30 PM.
The Lady Jackets jr. high team will play Franklinton Jr. High at home tomorrow, March 13th at 5:30 PM. At the same time, the Lady Jacket high school team will play away at Franklinton High School. Then, the next three games are at home. Monday, the 17th, at 4:30 PM, MHS vs. Sumner, with the jr. high after. Tuesday, the 18th, Mt. Hermon jr. high plays Pine jr. high at 6 PM. Wednesday, the 19th, the high school team will play against Salmen at 5:30 PM. Come on out to support the baseball and softball teams!
Reminder that the Pet Item Drive, sponsored by the Student Council , is going on through the rest of this month. Items that are needed consist of dog and cat food, old blankets, old sheets, shampoo and flea treatments. Donations will go to a local animal shelter and an animal shelter in North Carolina. Please drop off all donations in the front office of MHS.
Thirteen ladies of Mt. Hermon United Pentecostal Church attended the Ladies Conference in Alexandria over the weekend. They all had a “glorious” time, look forward to next year.
