Happy Easter to you!
April 20 is Easter Sunday. Last year Easter was in March and this year it is in April. Easter is the most important holy day of the Christian religion. The rising sun is the symbol of Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The date of Easter is not always the same, because it is related to the full moon and the position of the sun over the equator. The earliest possible date is March 22nd, and the latest is April 22nd. Earth egg symbolizes the birth and a new beginning. Tradition of coloring and exchanging eggs was started by the ancient Egyptians. There are many ways you can join in the fun of coloring and decorating your own Easter eggs. I found this interesting and wanted to share it with you. As Christians, we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins. He shed his precious blood that we might have everlasting life. What a blessing that it is for us. He is not in the grave. He is risen! Yes, indeed.
The teachers and students are looking forward to spring break beginning on Good Friday, April 18th through April 27th. Even though I'm not at school every day as they are, I'm looking forward to spring break. There will be only about four more weeks of school and then out for the summer.
I attended the Senior Adult Revival on Tuesday. It was held at the Bogue Chitto Baptist Church. I enjoyed the service, meal and fellowship. Thanks to our ladies, providing the desserts for the meal. I appreciate you very much.
Sarah Burch and Chris Burch celebrated a birthday recently. They gathered at the home of Miss Evelyn Burch for the celebration.
I saw Ms. Tanna Brumfield a few days ago. It was great getting to visit with her. I asked about Bro Fred. Her reply was that he is still preaching but not feeling very good. She requested that we keep him in our prayers. He tries to keep going, and the Lord continues to bless him and give him strength day by day. "The Lord is his strength." We love you Bro. Fred.
