Summertime Greetings! I hope you all had a blessed week and are feeling good, for me I'm still kicking and thankful to still be among the living. Praise the Lord!
Sunday afternoon, August 17th, I really had a scare. About 5 pm it began to rain, and the wind got really strong. All of a sudden there was a big pop/bang that went off. I knew something had happened but didn't know what. My electricity went off. After calling around I was the only one with no electricity. I made my call to REA. and after about a couple hours, a guy came to tell me that he had repaired the damage. I'm so thankful that it was fixed, especially since night hours were approaching.
Bogue Chitto Baptist ladies hosted the monthly meeting of the Women's Missions and Ministry meeting on Saturday, August 9th. Their theme was "Sunflower Jubilee." Attending from Mt. Pisgah were Cherie Smith and daughter Reagan and Fame Miller. For lunch all enjoyed pull pork on bun, cold slaw, and baked beans. We supplied the toppings for ice cream and an angel food cake. There were 77 ladies in attendance with 22 churches represented. Bogue Chitto got the banner with eleven ladies as a present. Everyone had a great time together. I know I missed seeing everyone. I wasn't able to attend; I had a wedding in Mississippi. I always enjoy seeing everyone. Thank you, Bogue Chitto ladies, for hosting the meeting.
