It was surely good to get rain last week on Saturday and then on Tuesday. It was a slow rain, and it rained most of the day. Everything was dry round here. Then the next day being Wednesday, the wind was blowing and it was cold. Not sure what the temperature was but I had to put on a jacket. When Bryan came in wearing a jacket, he said it sure felt good.
We had a nice outing at Mike's Catfish in Amite on Thursday October 30th. Our Red Hatters meet- a total of 25 were in attendance.
Branson, MO. Trip
Monday morning, October 6th at 5 am 41 passengers aboard the chartered bus and headed to Branson, Missouri. Where they enjoyed a five-day trip of fun and excitement. Monday was spent traveling with a couple breaks. Before dark, we arrived at Stone Castle where we would spend the night. Upon arrival, everyone was anxious to get settled for a good night's sleep. For me, I had been up for 38 hours. It took me a while after getting in bed to wind down. After sleeping I did feel better on Tuesday.
After a good continental breakfast, we enjoyed a great show at the Clay Cooper's theater. We enjoyed Clay Cooper's Country Express with singing, dancing, plus much more. We had lunch at Heroes' Taste and Taps. That afternoon we drove to Eureka Springs where we had dinner and saw the Great Passion Play. I had never seen the play, but I can say it was well worth going to. By the way, I bought a copy of the Passion Play but have not had a chance to see it yet.
Wednesday was also a busy day. After breakfast, we went to the Branson Craft Mall for some shopping. That is a big place and has all kinds of neat items. You know, us girls always love that shopping, especially a place we don't get to go often. We had lunch at the Pickin' Porch Grill located in the mall. That afternoon at 3:30 PM we saw "David" at the sight and sound theater. That was a good show. That night at 6:30 PM, the Hughes Brothers dinner and music show, held at the Hughes Brothers American family theater.
Thursday morning at 10 AM we saw the Sanders Family Christmas at IMAX complex. Lunch was at McFarlain's restaurant in the IMAX complex. Our last show was New South Gospel and a buffet dinner at Grand Country Music Hall.
Before we knew it, guess what! Friday was the day we loaded up and headed home. Back on the bus for about eight hours or so reminiscing with our friends about our wonderful trip. We made it safely home late that afternoon. Everyone gathered their things and loaded up to go home. Bryan came to get me; I heard him say to Jackie's son Greg; “Mama what you got in here? It's heavier than it was when you left to go on the trip."
We are so thankful for a safe trip and special thanks to Bro. Joey Miller for planning and making the trip interesting and fun.

Hope your birthday will be a special one; my great grandson Dylann Fitzmorris, my great granddaughter Cayleigh Layne Alford, Ms. Tanna Brumfield, Ms. Katie Miller, Evelyn Burch, Diamond Pouncey Lee, Teazin Pouncey, Dawn Riley, Kathy Graham, Tommy Graham, Trever Stafford, Jared Lebo, Jacob Singley, Fluorine Sorrell, Christine Elzey, Dot Kinlaw, Quinasha Johnson, Jennifer Burch, Douglas Miller, Bessie Sue West, Doyle West, Tara Guy, Sherman Burch, Ms. Debra Norman, Kelly Smith, Jaxton and Braelon Rogers.
There are many needs in our community and surrounding area. Please pray for the sick shut-ins, lonely and bereaved. Remember God is in the miracle business.
