Hello All!
It's still summer time 'round here. My a/c went out, but thank the Lord it's been repaired. Lots of things are going on. Some have been out of town visiting, attending VBS and some taking a vacation.
Churches in our community had Vacation Bible School. This is the second year we have not had Bible School at Mt. Pisgah. I always looked forward to seeing the children having fun, learning Bible truths and singing. I enjoyed teaching the children and what a blessing it was. The commencement service was always great; seeing the children share their learning during the week. The parents also looked forward to seeing their children's classroom and the projects they did during the week.
I met my granddaughter Anna and her children in Tylertown and had lunch at May's. She had harvested veggies from her garden. She brought me a cabbage, tomatoes, bell peppers, banana peppers and jalapeno peppers. They were wonderful.

Our prayers and Christian love are sent out to the following families who recently had a loss of a family member. Grief comes to all of us at different times and under different circumstances. Sometimes we see loved ones suffer, it hurts us, but seems to be easier than an unexpected tragedy. No matter the circumstances, our hearts are broken and we miss them dearly.
Mrs. Frankie Faye Dillon Thomas passed away on Wednesday morning, June 24th at St. Tammany Hospital. I grew up knowing her family. She was my Home Economics teacher at Thomas High School. She taught us many useful and practical things. Some being sewing and cooking and getting us ready for adulthood.
My heart felt prayers go out to Mrs. Nancy Cox, her husband and family members. I came to know Mrs. Nancy when she came to Mt. Hermon School as a teacher. Talking with her, I soon found out that Ann Bond was her sister. I began to share how I knew Ann. When I attended Southeastern, Ann was my roommate. Lots of special memories came to me. She told me that Ann had passed away. My love to Mrs. Nancy in the loss of her precious daughter Leigh Ann Cox Morel. She was only 50 years old. As one would say, our loss is heaven's gain.
Another family who needs our prayers is the family of Regina Gail Magee Sumrall, 61, who died June 26th. I do not know her personally, but I do know some family members.
Also, Bobby Earl Thomas Sr., 85, passed away June 26th at his residence. I knew his sister Eddie Pearl and his wife Chinesa Martin. If I'm not mistaken, they attended Thomas School.
God's blessing to all of you during this time. Just put your trust in Him and He will see you through it all.
Have a blessed week and try to keep cool - Prayerfully Nell.
