Hello to all of you!
God is so good! It was nice to get some rain that was desperately needed. Thundershowers pop up here and there. Sometimes it rains at my house and not at a neighbor's who lives only two or three miles away.
It was truly a blessing to have everyone gather at the school flag pole on Thursday, September 10th for prayer time. Then at 5 pm the community meeting with the Washington Parish School Board was held. Several took this opportunity to speak their concerns about 7th - 12th grade going to another school. There was a great turn out for this meeting.
Someone hit and killed a baby deer in front of my old house. When I went to the mailbox, there were at least 25 buzzards feasting on the poor little thing. Some mother is now missing her baby.
I was saddened to hear of the passing of our beloved Dolly Parton who died on August 25 at the age of 80. I sure do enjoy hearing her sing. A couple of my favorite songs are "Coat of Many Colors" and "Jolene".
Years ago my granddaughter, Tammy and I enjoyed a trip to Tennessee on a Diamond Tour with Ms. Linda and Ms. Wilda. The day we went to Dollywood, it snowed. We had a great time there, shopping, riding the exciting fun rides and saw an outstanding lighted Christmas show. We did not see Dolly that day, but we were told she comes often. We did see beautiful pictures in the shops. We'll always remember this fun trip we had together.
'll be thankful when these pesky, nasty love bugs go away. They are everywhere you look. When I'm outside, they are in my face and trying to go up my nose. I've had them in the house, even in my refrigerator. They probably come in the house on my clothes. They are also on the front of our cars and make a mess on them.

My granddaughter Anna came last week and we had lunch at Red Brick cafe. We visited briefly with Aunt Jackie and had a few laughs. Our time spent together is always special.
Get well wishes to my special Jason Watkins. Take care of yourself. We love and pray for you.
Continue to pray for the needs around us. There are many. We all need a touch from the Lord. He is there to help and guide us. We just need to be willing to listen.
