Happy Wednesday to all of my faithful readers. Now that October is here, we are looking forward to the Washington Parish Free Fair which is only two weeks away.
Jackie and I enjoyed going to see Jacob Eder at El Paso Grill in Hammond. That night we celebrated the birthday of Charlene Guidry. We sang happy birthday to her and Jacob also sang her favorite song. Jackie made a cake and it was shared with everyone. By the way, Charlene was really surprised, but loved it. We all joined in singing happy birthday to Jacob who recently had a birthday. We always look forward to seeing Jacob and his mom Ms. Melissa.
It was great to hear from my friend Lavria Sandifer. She called to say she got her beautiful birthday card. She has also recently been traveling and shared with me. It was great hearing from her. By the way, I met her on a Diamond Tour trip several years ago and we have kept in touch ever since. She is retired from Magee Finance in Franklinton.
Jackie and I enjoyed going to the Senior Adult September luncheon held in the Franklinton First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Everyone enjoyed a great meal prepared by the church ladies. Thank you Chris for inviting us.
My great grandson Kalem Graham recently celebrated his 8th birthday. His cousin Emmett spent the night with him. Cousins Emily, Emmett and Ava joined him for his birthday party that afternoon. Joining in on the birthday treats were his sister Alaya, his parents and Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Jason.
Churches in our area collected items for the annual Fall Food Round-Up for the Children's Home. The collections were picked up in our area on Monday, September 14th. They are very appreciative.
