Hello to all my faithful readers. It's great visiting with you again. We have had some beautiful weather over the past several days. The days have been pleasant but the nights have been rather cool. Most of you are probably tired from going to the fair. Now that the fair is over, you can get rested up. Just think of it as it was worth it because you were having fun and enjoying yourself.
My great grand children Emily and Emmett recently celebrated their birthday. After eleven years of marriage, Jason and Jennifer Watkins were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Emily born on September 6th, 2017. One year later, Emmett was born on September 17th. Emily is 9 years old and Emmett is 8. They celebrated their birthday with family on both occasions. Emily had birthday cake with her Sunday School class. Emmett invited his cousin Kalem for a sleepover. They both had a great birthday.
The Mt. Hermon Jr. High 2026 Homecoming was held on the football field Tuesday night, September 29th. Participating in the homecoming court were 6th grade maids Paige Magee, Layla Brumfield and Aubrie Hamm. 7th grade maids were Malaysia Tate, Helayna Vince and Holly McGregor. 8th Grade maids were Kamrya Semento, Aubrey Cooper and Grace Anne Stevens.
The young ladies were dressed to a "t" and were escorted by a family member. Their attire was complimented with a matching hat and accessories.
Congratulations to Aubrey Cooper who was crowned Homecoming Queen.
That afternoon at 2:30 pm a pep rally was held to cheer on the players. The visiting team was the Varnado Wilcats. A big crowd was there for the homecoming court and game.

Pray for all the needs, the sick, families who have lost beloved ones, our community, state and world.
We surely could use some rain. Everything is very dry. Maybe some rain is on it's way.
Thought for the Week: Be completely humble and gentle; be patient bearing with one another in love. (Ephesians 4:2)
Signing off for Now. Keep in touch. Keep Smiling and be safe. Prayerfully, Nell.
