Hello there! I hope you're doing great after all that has come through on Sunday evening. Downtown in our neighborhood behind Sonic some people did not get at all. The storm came so fast that no one knew what was happening, so many people had trees on their homes.

Mount Hermon man indicted by grand jury for murder

District Attorney Collin Sims reports that on July 9 a Washington Parish grand jury indicted 34-year-old Jerry Charles Baker, Jr. of Mount Hermon for second degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon in relation to the fatal shooting of 31-year-old Ryan Simmons of Franklinton on January 2, 2025.
