Tageant throws out first pitch as FHS defeats Sumner

The Franklinton Demons baseball team won their final regular season game last Monday at Demon Diamond against the Sumner Cowboys, 16-1. The win marked the final regular season game for the Demon's legendary coach Jeff Tageant who is retiring. He retires with a 564-315-2 record (not counting upcoming second round playoff games).

Man arrested in Natchez for theft of Washington Parish tractor

On April 17, detectives with the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office began investigating the theft of a trailer containing a Kubota tractor and equipment. The trailer and equipment were stolen from the American Legion Hall in Bogalusa following an event that had taken place on Saturday night, April 15th.

FJHS students toured Student Art Show at Varnado Store Museum

Franklinton Junior High students and helpers from the class of Timberli Milton visited the Varnado Store Museum on a field trip to view the Student Art Show exhibit which will be on display through the month of April. Each student voted for their favorite art piece from the 392 works shown.
