The Winterset Club members gathered at the Varnado Store Museum Annex for a salad supper on March 20. Hostesses for the evening were Marie Wascom and Sonnet Ireland. GRITS girls met with St. Patrick's Day theme

The G.R.I.T.S. girls red hat outing took place in Denham Springs at Don's Seafood with Dot Kinlaw as hostess. Dot chose a St. Patrick's Day theme and some members were dressed in green attire. Our March birthday ladies were Brenda Penny and Jean Stafford.

Fair poster contest deadline is July 31

Traffic stop results in drug arrest

On March 22, detectives with the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force were patrolling in Bogalusa when they observed a driver committing a traffic offense. The vehicle was stopped and the female driver was issued a citation for the traffic offense and released. Her passenger went to jail.
