G.R.I.T.S girls red hat outing took place in Hammond at Golden Corral restaurant with Linda Corkern as hostess. She decorated the tables with fall decorations, pumpkins and candies. October birthday ladies are Nellie Smith and Linda Corkern. Brenda Hayden gave the prayer for the prayer request and the blessing for the food.

Parish Council get animal shelter update

The Washington Parish Council met on Monday, October 10 in Council Chambers. With a relatively short agenda leading into the Washington Parish Free Fair, the council set two public hearings to be held on Monday, October 24.
