Franklinton, Pine and Bowling Green remain alive in the state football playoffs following Friday night's games.

Franklinton had a bye, Bowling Green won a tight game against Winston-Academy, and Pine easily beat St. Helena.

Both Varnado and Bogalusa lost their first-round games, ending their 2024 seasons.

Bowling Green advances to semi-finals with big win

The Bowling Green Buccaneers showcased their all-around strength, overpowering the St. Aloysius Flashes 34-6 last Friday to advance to the MAIS District 4A semi-finals. This victory highlighted the Bucs' balanced attack and solid defense, allowing them to control the game from start to finish.

FHS defeats Hannan, pushing record to 9-1 headed into playoffs

The Franklinton Demons football team won their final regular season game on the road against the Hannan Hawks. After a close back and forth game in the first half the Demons left them behind in the second half enroute to a nice 49-28 win. The Demons finish the regular season with a 9-1 record, 4-0 in district and are the district champions.
