Franklinton Demons have 7 first team All-District selections

The coaches of district 8-4A that include Franklinton, Lakeshore, Salmen, Hannan, Loranger and Pearl River recently released the All District football team and as usual the Demons of Franklinton High were well represented with seven first team selections and five second team selections.

Pine, Varnado, and Bogalusa have All-District selections

The coaches of districts 8-3A and 10-1A have released their all district selections with three local teams being nicely represented. District 8-3A is made up of Pine, Amite, Bogalusa, Albany and Sumner while district 10-1A is made up of Riverside Academy, St Martins, Varnado, Cohen, West St John and Crescent City.

FHS defeats Pine in basketball action

The Franklinton Demons and Lady Demons basketball teams played the Pine Raiders and Lady Raiders last Friday evening in the Franklinton gym as part of the Franklinton tournament. The teams split wins with the Demons coming out on top and the Pine Lady Raiders coming out with a win.

Bogalusa is only parish team still alive in state playoffs

Friday night's first-round playoffs did not go well for Washington Parish high school football teams. Franklinton High, Pine High, and Varnado High all lost in the first round, closing out the 2022 season.

Bogalusa had a first-round bye, and will play Berwick on Friday, November 18, in the second round.
