Early voting starts March 15 for next election

Early voting for the March 29 election will begin soon.

Early voting in Franklinton at the Registrar of Voters office in the courthouse will start Saturday, March 15 and will continue each day through and including March 22, with the exception of Sunday, March 16. Early voting hours are 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Opinion: Putting a roof over the risk of storm damage

Give the state of Alabama credit for being the first to do something about a serious problem. Their program of paying coastal property owners to put stronger roofs on their homes in an attempt to prevent damage from hurricanes appears to be working.

Krewe of Pepe parade rolls through Franklinton
